This is a Lionel 665 4-6-4 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive from 1954-66. Features include a die-cast boiler shell, an open frame motor, magnetraction, a 3-position reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and nice detail.
Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world
