Lionel 59 Vintage O Air Force Minuteman 2-4-2 Gas Turbine Switcher VG

This is a Lionel 59 U.S. Air Force Minuteman Diesel Motorized Unit from 1962-63. This is one of Lionel's colectible motorized units that were produced in the postwar years. The 59 Minuteman is one of the more desirable and slightly hard to find units since it was only made in 1962 and 1963. Features include a die-cast frame, and open rame motor, a 3-position reverse unit, a decorative horn, metal side rods, operating metal knuckle couplers and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are rust markings on this item. This item did not run when tested. It does not make any type of noise and the lights did not work. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The wheels show heavy run-time. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included.
