It has rubber bumpers on each end and when it runs into anything (la track bumper, locomotive, or anything else) it reverses direction. When it reverses, one of the crewman spins around and faces the other side! With the car‘s ability to operate as an independent unit, Lionel soon introduced several other self-motorized units into their consumer line. Products such as the 60 Trolley, 65 Handcar, and 68 Executive Inspection Car are just a few examples. This is a reliable and durable car. With only general maintenance, it has proven to be a solid performer. Standard features include an orange molded body, die-cast frame, 2 stationary crewmen, 1 moveable crewman, and a rubber bumper on each end.
