Lionel 385E Vintage Standard Gauge Steam Locomotive and Tender
Here is a Lionel 385E Standard Gauge Gunmetal 2-4-2 Steam Locomotive & 385W Tender from 1936-39. The locomotive is complete with a full compliment of drive rods, clean spoke wheels, nickel piping, domes, whistle, bell and stack. It has both a working headlight and a red firebox glow light. The tender has a whistle, clean sheet metal trucks with all 8-nickel journals, and a latch coupler. Please see my pictures for additional features.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. There are heavy signs of nicks, scratches, and surface rust on both the locomotive and tender. Additionally, the paint on both items shows heavy wear, chipping, and spots of bubbling in the die-cast. Some of the die-cast is beginning to become brittle. The overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. Tender whistle non-functional. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included with these items. Check the photos for a detailed look at this item. Overall condition is Good.
