Here is a Lionel 225E Vintage O Prewar 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Loco w/ 2666W Tender. The 225E was a mainstay of Lionel‘s line in the late 1930s and early 40s. One of the first of Lionel‘s die cast steamers, the 225E mold was used to make the 675/2025 steam engines of the Postwar era. This locomotive features an operating motor, a reverse unit, and an operating headlight. The tender features a whistle, stamped metal trucks, journals, and a box coupler on the rear.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. The paint on both units is crude with bubbling and large globs present from the previous paint job. The locomotive is missing the trailing truck. The decals on the tender are scraped off. The locomotive's rear step pieces are broken off. The locomotive's boiler front does not stay closed. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of tarnish throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
