Lionel 224 Vintage O 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive with 2466W Tender VG

Here is a Lionel 224 Vintage O 2-6-2 Die-Cast Steam Locomotive with 2466W Tender from the 1940s. The 224 is one of the few Lionel engines made in both the Prewar and Postwar eras. It features a die cast metal body, motor, 3-position E-Unit, and an operating headlight. It does not have a smoke unit, which is why it was dropped from the Lionel line after 1946 and replaced by the smoking 675/2025 engines. A 2466W Tender is included which features a plastic shell, metal frame, whistle, box coupler, die cast trucks, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item has small spots of rusting. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The wheels show average run-time. This item was tested and did not run but was very audible and is being sold as is.
