Lionel 2037-500 Vintage O Girls 2-6-4 Pink Steam Locomotive and Tender VG

The Lionel Girls Train Set was sold in 1957 and 1958. It was an attempt to broaden the appeal of toy trains to girls by offering a train with a pink engine and tender and several pastel colored freight cars. The set was Lionel No. 1587S. The attempt failed; not many were sold; and pastel colors were mostly discontinued. Here is the original Lionel 2037-500 Girls 2-6-4 Pink Steam Locomotive and Tender.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The numbers on the locomotive's cab sides and the lettering on the tender's shell are heavily faded with some sections craping off. The locomotive show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The locomotive and tender show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks.
