MTH 50-1001 DCS Track Interface Unit & Remote - Serial Port Version EX/Box

Here is an MTH 50-1001 DCS TIU. The DCS Remote Control System allows you to leave track voltage constant and control multiple Proto-Sound 2.0-equipped engines individually. Thirty-two buttons and an LCD display provide total control over the Proto-Sound 2.0 features, such as setting scale mph, passenger station announcements, and setting multi-unit lash-ups. A single DCS remote handheld will allow you to control Proto-Sound 2.0 locomotives in command mode, TMCC-equipped engines in command mode (when you connect a Lionel Command Base to the TIU), and all conventional 3-rail O Gauge engines at the same time. Included is a DCS track interface unit (TIU) and remote.

This is the older version pre-2010 with a 9-pin serial plug and is not USB.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item appears to have been used, and displays overall signs of light previous use. There are scratches on the surface of the unit and remote. The original paint is in great shape, and the items display an excellent overall finish. There are no wires or accessories included. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included.
