Lionel 6-8801 O Gauge Blue Comet 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #8801 EX/Box

Here is a Lionel 6-8801 O Gauge Blue Comet 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #8801 from 1978-80. It features die-cast construction, Magne-Traction, smoke, and the sound of steam. This loco headed up Lionel's Blue Comet passenger train form 1978.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The sounds will fade when the locomotive is in neutral. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
