This is a Lionel 6-8610 O Gauge Wabash 4-6-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender #672 from 1986-87. Features include an operating headlight, an operating knuckle coupler, electronic mighty sound of steam, an electronic whistle, smoke deflectors, magnet traction, puffing smoke, transformer controlled forward, neutral and reverse.

Introduced in its prototype form in the late 19th century, the 4-6-2 would take the world by storm at the turn of the 20th century, being seen as one of the biggest innovation in the history of locomotives -- the 4-6-2 would quickly finds its place in rail-yards across the world. Heralded for its ability to haul passengers, the 4-6-2 was a versatile model hauling freight and coal as well, with tank variants being introduced later during the 20th century. Traveling at speeds upwards of 100mph the 4-6-2 was featured on rail-ways ranging from Argentina to Egypt, and all the way to the far East in China!
