Lionel 6-8206 O New York Central 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive VG/Box

Here is a Lionel 6-8206 New York Central 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive from 1972-75. This was the first large steam locomotive produced during the MPC era. It features smoke, headlight, a motor, metal wheels and axles, and the engine has a die-cast body. A tender is not included with this locomotive.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world
