Lionel 6-8101 Chicago & Alton 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive VG

Here is a Lionel 6-8101 Chicago and Alton 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive. This engine headed up the Alton Limited Red Train set from that year. Its features include a die-cast boiler, an open frame motor, Magnetraction, an operating smoke unit, an operating headlight, electronic whistle and Sound of Steam, and a great paint scheme. This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are paint chippings along the body of this item. There are some wheels that are missing. The only ones included are the ones in the first photo. There are others missing. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. There are slight rust markings on this item on some of the screws. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Overall condition is Very Good.
