This engine headed up the Chessie Steam Special Passenger set from that year and was one of the first Berkshires produced in the Modern Era, the other being the 8002 Union Pacific from the same year. Its features include a die-cast boiler, an open frame motor, Magnetraction, an operating smoke unit, an operating headlight, electronic whistle and Sound of Steam.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item displays scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. Engine runs well. The whistle is functional, however the chuffing sounds are not. The original box is included.
