This is a Lionel 6-28259 Canadian National SD40-2 V2 Diesel Locomotive #5383. EMD SD40-2 and GP38-2 diesel locomotives hauled freight from one coast to the other. Each diesel locomotive features prototypical detailing specific to each road name. Matching non-powered units are also available for easy double-heading. Features include MCCII Legacy equipped—able to run in Command Control Mode or in Conventional Transformer Control Mode, RailSounds 5.0 sound system with new intelligible CrewTalk dialog, more TowerCom announcements and eight diesel RPM levels, Odyssey System for speed control with ON/OFF switch, Directional lighting including LED headlights, Operating marker lights, Front and rear ElectroCouplers, Dual powerful maintenance-free motors with momentum flywheels, Traction tires, Fan-driven smoke system, Die-cast metal trucks, pilots, fuel tank, Metal frame, Separately applied metal details, Illuminated number boards, Illuminated cab interior, Flashing strobe light, the minimum diameter is O-31 and it is 17 1/4 inches long.

The screw posts for the rear pilot are broken off of the rear truck. The front and rear guardrails are slightly bent. This locomotive shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
