This is a Lionel 2494 Rotary Beacon Tower from 1972-74. The revolving light on top detailed tower projects red and green beacons, just like a real airport beacon. The tower structure is steel and measures 11 1/2 inches tall x 5 inches x 5 inches. Not a particularly sought-after piece by collectors but is somewhat tough to find.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This tower has been tested and the beacon rotates, but it does not flash red and green. This tower is being sold as is. This item is missing it's protective covering around the wiring at the top of the tower. This tower shows scratches on the tower base, ladder and steel beams.
