Here is a Lionel 1577 Liberty Special Set from 1975. This set features a 8570 Red-White and Blue Alco Diesel Locomotive, 3 9700 Series Boxcars, a 9076 We the People Caboose. The Diesel Locomotive has a 2-position reverse unit. Additional features include: plastic trucks, plastic knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles, 8 sections of curved track, 2 sections of straight track and a transformer. The boxcars all feature different important events in American history.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item has extra pieces of curved track. Some of these units are missing couplers, break wheels and other trim pieces. The overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis of the locomotive as well as the other cars included in this set. The wheels show heavy run-time.
