Lionel 464 Vintage O Operating Sawmill/Lumber Mill VG

This is a Lionel 464 Vintage O Operating Sawmill / Lumber Mill from 1956-60. This accessory carried the operation into the next phase, converting logs into dressed lumber. The lumber mill relied more heavily on illusion & suspension of disbelief than any of the other industrial accessories. Logs deposited on one end of the platform, either by dump car or by hand, would be pushed into the sawmill building at center stage. Finished boards would emerge from the other end. The dressed boards had to be loaded into the building ahead of time. Logs entering the building would drop off a transparent conveyor belt, while at the same time, the boards would be picked up by it and pushed out the other side, where they were stacked up (sort of) by gravity. A really neat effect. It measures about 2 feet long.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item has not been tested and is being sold As-Is. There are nicks, scratches, and rust spotting on the surface of the structure and it's metal components. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning.
