Lionel 3820 Vintage O USMC Olive Drab Flatcar w/Submarine - RARE VG

Here is a hard to find Lionel USMC postwar Olive Drab flatcar with operating submarine from 1960-62. Yes, the submarine actually will operate underwater! It is rubber band powered. You wind up the nose cone to energize it. It has an on-off switch, an adjustable rudder and elevator. This flatcar features a removeable submarine, plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item is missing trim pieces. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. There are significant markings on this item. The front of the submarine is broken but still intact with the unit. The wheels show heavy run-time. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included.
