Lionel 2356 Vintage O Southern F-3 AB Diesel Locomotives VG

This is a Lionel 2356 Southern EMD F-3 AB Diesel Locomotive Set from 1954-56. These were one of the first Lionel F-3 sets decorated in colors other than Santa Fe or New York Central. Included is a powered A unit and a non-powered B unit. The powered unit features include dual motors, a reverse unit, operating lights, die-cast metal trucks, operating metal knuckle coupler and metal wheels. The B unit features die cast trucks, fixed knuckle couplers, and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. This item was tested and moves forward but does not want to move in reverse. These locomotives display scratches and paint imperfections across the body and underframe. Both of the chassis appear to have been repainted, and have spots of uneven paint and chips in the edges. The B unit has a very wrinkly and rough texture to the paint on the underside. Light spots of surface rust are present on the wheels and trucks. Heavier rust is seen on the inside of the A unit's battery compartment. The overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The wheels and rolling pickups show signs of average use. The original boxes are not included. The instruction manual is not included. Please check the photos for a detailed look at these items.
