Lionel 2343 Vintage O Santa Fe F3 ABA Diesel Locomotive Set

This is a Lionel 2343 Vintage O Santa Fe F3 ABA Diesel Locomotive Set from 1950-1952. One of the icons of the Postwar Era, the 2343 improved upon the original 2333 with the addition of Magnetraction. The powered unit features dual motors, a remote activated operating horn, an operating headlight, illuminated number boards and cab, die-cast metal frame and trucks, a die-cast operating coupler on the front and a fixed die-cast coupler on the rear. The non-powered unit features an operating light, a die-cast frame, trucks, metal wheels & axles. This set also includes the 2343C B Unit with a screen top.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-5: Good based on visual appearance. When these items were tested, they did not run. The shell on the powered unit does not stay on and comes off very easily. On the B unit the frame is bent and does not allow the unit to sit flush on the track and causes a warped look on the unit. The other A unit has deep markings on it. All the units have some trim pieces missing. The wheels on all units have signs of wear. The overall appearance of these items may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included. The instruction manual is not included. Overall condition is Good.
