Lionel 217 Vintage O Boston & Maine Alco A&B Diesel Locomotive Set/Box

This is a Lionel 217 Vintage O Boston & Maine Alco A&B Diesel Locomotive Set from 1959. The 217 Boston & Maine Alco A&B diesel set was only produced in 1959. This locomotive is notable because it is the only postwar diesel that does not have the full road name spelled out on the body, only a logo. Included is the powered A unit and the non-powered B unit. The features include unpainted blue bodies, black painted roofs and fronts, white lettering and accenting, and die-cast non-operating couplers. The powered unit is also equipped with two-axle Magnetraction, three-position E-unit, headlight plus a simulated horn on top of the cab.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-4: Very Good based on visual appearance. This locomotive set has been repainted by previous owner. There are some scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The instruction manual is not included. The original boxes are included.
