American Flyer 322AC Vintage S NYC Hudson 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender VG

This is an American Flyer 322AC 4-6-4 New York Central Hudson Steam Locomotive and Tender from 1949-50. The locomotive features die-cast metal construction, a smoke stack, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and exquisite detail. The tender features die-cast metal construction, link coupler, metal wheels and axles.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The locomotive was non-functional when tested and is being sold As-Is. The locomotive's boiler front piece is loose. The locomotive and tender both have bent grab-iron pieces. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The locomotive and tender show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks. The instruction manual is not included. The original box is not included.
